🎄’Twas the Night before Christmas at Wentworth Woodhouse🎄

In my last blog, I mentioned that the big house was preparing for Christmas. This was my first Christmas as a volunteer, and I was really excited about spending time in the big house over the festive period. We are all set now for visitors.

For Christmas 2024 the theme is on the classic 1823 poem

A Visit from St. Nicholas

‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there’

Enter the house, where you can experience a magical visit through the State Rooms, and then enter the West Front Gardens for a beautiful light trail.

The house looks spectacular, and the garden light trail is a sight to behold. The staff and volunteers of Wentworth have dressed the house and gardens, and again, they have done it proud. I’m sure the Fitzwilliams would approve!

I won’t give too much away and spoil the magic, come and see for yourself!

Christmas is Here!
